The Late Chef is also involved in a number of other projects.
The Wallingford Food Festival was created by Paul in 2011. It started from an idea and became an event attracting 1500 visitors in 10 weeks! The second festival in 2012 attracted 2500 visitors and included notable local chefs Gary Jones (exec Head Chef at Le Manoir), Momo Fujita-Clarkson, Peter Lien (Chef Manager at the WI Cookery School) and others. The third festival in May 2013 was over two days for the first time and attracted over 4000 visitors! The cookery demos ranged from Indian, Italian, French, English, German, Gluten-free and others.
The Festival has grown and in 2014 the visitor number were just shy of 5000! There were over 60 producers and with fabulous weather the weekend was a huge success! Planning for 2015 is now underway.
